What kind of bonuses are employers handing out this holiday season?
According to a recent Express Employment Professionals poll, 23% plan to give employees cash this year and another 13% are giving gift cards.
Just 3% are offering extra time off and 1% are giving pay raises this holiday season.
And what do workers hope to get?
Forty-five percent want a combination of benefits, 22% want cash and 21% would like a raise.
Just 3% said they want gift cards.
“This likely is not surprising for front line supervisors and managers” said Bruce Hein, franchise owner of the Sarnia Express office.
The survey of 373 businesses also found 39% don’t plan to offer any bonuses.
