A new club in Sarnia is blending books and beer to satisfy a local thirst for reading.

“Books on Tap” is geared toward members of the Millennial Generation who enjoy a good book and an occasional brew, said Steph Black, an adult services librarian at the Lambton County Library system.

"Many bigger city libraries are trying this type of book club," she said. “Participants discuss the books they love while enjoying the best brews that downtown Sarnia has to offer.

The first meeting will have an open theme and is set for Wednesday, Aug. 27 at The Front Door, 216 Front Street North, starting at 7:00 p.m.

Seating is limited so participants are asked to register early by contacting Black at 519-845-3324 ext. 5223.
