Sarnia Police are advising local businesses and residents to be aware counterfeit U.S. $100 bills are circulating in the community.
Individuals are passing the phony bank notes by making a purchase at a local store with the goal of getting genuine currency in return as change.
The serial number of the counterfeit $100 U.S. bill is #LB45440078L. The same serial number has been used in a number of other Canadian cities.
