Three local agencies are teaming up to help provide funding for charities and non-profits as they focus on pandemic recovery.

The Sarnia Community Foundation, United Way of Sarnia-Lambton and Canadian Red Cross are accepting applications for the Community Services Recovery Fund — a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada.

"Together we are collaborating to assist with the administration of the $400 million Community Services Recovery Fund,” a Sarnia Community Foundation release noted.

“From developing new communications plans to enhancing existing accounting systems, the Community Services Recovery Fund responds to the adaptation and modernization needs of non-profit and charitable organizations facing immediate and long-term impacts of the pandemic as they continue to support communities.”

Community service organizations include non-profit organizations, Indigenous governing bodies, or registered charities that provide services to communities in Canada.

To find out who is eligible and how to apply, visit www.communityservicesrecoveryfund.ca or call the Sarnia Community Foundation at 519 332-2588 or United Way of Sarnia-Lambton at 519 336-5452.
