Following recent rallies in support of Mayor Mike Bradley, a candlelight vigil will be held in support of victims of bullying Nov. 7 at City Hall.

One of the organizers, Dan Harding, said the purpose is to raise awareness of bullying in the workplace.

“We would like to show how many victims go through depression to addiction and sometimes suicide,” said Harding. “It’s not tolerated in any workplace but it still goes on.”

The vigil outside City Hall runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and attendees are asked to bring their own candles.

Last week, a rally in support of the mayor got heated when city Coun. Cindy Scholten engaged a crowd in front of City Hall.

Harding said he expects there could be opposition at the vigil, but says participants will remain silent if engaged by pro-Bradley supporters.
