AMSS students, service club members team up for nature project

Published on

Mike Smalls of Climate Action Sarnia-Lambton and The Seaway Kiwanis Club have teamed up with several local schools to help bring back native species of plants and trees to help support indigenous insects, birds, and wildlife.

This parkette at Alexander Mackenzie High School is being developed in several stages.

Trees and shrubs shown here are planted now allowing them to get established with the care of the students before the school year ends.

Future plantings with native wildflowers, mulched pathways, and bench seats will all be installed by the students at a later date.
