Three local initiatives are receiving more than $70,000 from the Judith & Norman Alix Foundation.

The Sarnia Street Machines and Classic Car Club is getting $7,000 to upgrade the club’s event trailer, while the Kiwanis Club Children's Animal Farm Foundation is getting $30,000 toward the renovation of a log cabin.

Meanwhile, PointSAR Marine Rescue is receiving $33,250 for multiple projects including a new radar and navigation system.

Over the past 30 years the Foundation has donated $5 million to 20 community projects, including the downtown art gallery and artificial turf at Norm Perry Park.
