Seasonal workers with the Parks and Recreation Department are busy preparing Germain Park for the re-dedication ceremony of the Golden Hawk jet on Sunday, May 31, at 2 p.m.

Here Lindsay Graham pulls weeds in the newly refurbished monument and gardens.

The jet symbolized a reaffirmation of the community's tribute to all RCAF personnel from Sarnia-Lambton who have served their country.

The memorial will be honoured Sunday with a brief ceremony on the ground, and in the air with a flyover of vintage planes, including an F-86 MK V Sabre Jet that served as a backup to the Golden Hawks aerobatic teams.

The Golden Hawk can be view on Saturday, May 30 at Chris Hadfield Airport, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
