A long-time accessibility advocate in Sarnia has received a provincial honour.
Debbie Draganits received the AODA Champions Award on Dec. 7, which is presented annually to individuals who show commitment to improving opportunities for people with disabilities.
Draganits is active on two local advisory committees and overcame her own barriers to become a lawyer at Community Legal Assistance Sarnia, said Dale Mosley, the city’s accessibility co-ordinator.
“Debbie is a true role model.”
