77% of eligible local residents have had at least one COVID-19 shot

Journal Staff As of Wednesday, 77% of Sarnia-Lambton residents age 12 and older had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 71% had two shots. In Canada, 82% had one shot and 72% had two.

As of Wednesday, 77% of Sarnia-Lambton residents age 12 and older had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 71% had two shots.

In Canada, 82% had one shot and 72% had two.

The mass vaccination clinics at the Point Edward and Clearwater Arena are now closed, but shots are still available.

Lambton Public Health is running smaller drop-in and pop-up clinics across the county over the next several weeks. Visit lambtonpublichealth.ca for the latest updates.

As well, six pharmacies in Sarnia are offering the Pfizer and/or Moderna vaccines.

Lambton Elderly Outreach and the Canadian Red Cross are offering free rides to all vaccination sites to residents 50-plus, as well as to those with disabilities of any age who don’t have transportation.
