The Sarnia Brigade are ready to return to the field.

With a new name and logo, the former Sarnia Braves team will head north to take on Kincardine in a double-header July 11.

The Brigade are the defending Ontario AAA champions and have added four new players to the roster.

Joining the squad are pitcher Tyler Whitbread, first baseman Mitch Bigras, infielder Nick George, and pitcher Jack Symington.

Whitbread had a successful career at Indiana State University, posting a 9-2 record as a senior, including a post-season win over Ohio State.

"We are hopeful that there is some form of championship this year," coach James Grant said via Facebook.

"Our team is really excited to have a chance at meaningful baseball. The core has stayed together from 2019 and we have some really good players coming in."
