Sarnia has given final approval to the first phase of a new subdivision in Heritage Park.

Castleman Contracting will start with 22 semi-detached home lots in the 10-acre parcel of land east of Modeland Road and north of Confederation Line.

The homes will be built along both sides of a new municipal road, which will be called Nicholas Street and accessed off of Upper Canada Drive.

Carl Kongas, co-owner of the Camlachie-based company, has said the one-storey open concept bungalows will feature two bedrooms on the main floor, a two-car garage and finished basement.

The full subdivision plans calls for 54 semi-detached homes.
