Two Sarnia Sting forwards are in the running for 2017 Ontario Hockey League awards.
Adam Ruzicka was nominated for Rookie of the Year after an outstanding first season in the league. The 17-year-old Slovak netted 25 goals and 21 assists over the 61 games.
Jordan Kyrou also earned a nod, as one of the 20 potential recipients of the Red Tilson Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding player.
Kyrou, who was taken by the St. Louis Blues in last year’s NHL draft, had his best season with 30 goals and 64 assists.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for June 8 at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
