This year’s Dream Home adding accessibility

The drive for increased accessibility is being extended to this year’s Dream Home Lottery.

The drive for increased accessibility is being extended to this year’s Dream Home Lottery.

The Dream Home at 3866 Arie Court in Camlachie will be the first in Ontario to offer people with limited mobility easy access the main level, said Kathy Alexander, executive director of the Bluewater Health Foundation.

“It was very important for us to ensure that all people in our community could access, visit, and be comfortable in our Dream Home, and up to this point, it wasn’t always possible.”

The home is designed with an accessible main floor bathroom, no-step entrance and clear passageways, features that also provide easy movement for furniture and strollers, she noted.

Tickets to the Dream Home Lottery will go on sale Oct. 2.
