One of the Sarnia Sting’s top forwards has been dealt to Sudbury.

Nineteen-year-old Adam Ruzicka went to the Wolves in exchange for three draft picks, the Sting announced last week.

The Slovakia native was a 2016 second round pick and spent two seasons in Sarnia, recording 72 goals and 83 assists.

Ruzicka was a fourth-round selection by the NHL’s Calgary Flames in 2017.

“He has been a big piece of our hockey team over the past couple of seasons and we wish him all the best going forward with Sudbury,” said Sting GM Nick Sinclair.

In return, Sarnia gets a third round pick in 2020 and a second and third round pick in 2021.

In a separate move, the Sting also acquired 17-year-old forward Anthony Tabak from Sudbury in exchange for a fourth round pick in 2020 and conditional 2023 draft selection.
