The Sarnia Sting have signed forward Chase Gaughan to an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement, the club announced Monday.

With the 4th overall selection, the Sting added the 6’1 forward in this year’s 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Palmyra Black Knights AAA.

The Drums, Pennsylvania native tallied 21 goals and 27 assists in 22 games played in addition to two assists through four games at the OHL Cup.

“Chase is a skilled forward, someone that caught our eye back in October, we say a smart right shot centre, reads the ice well, puck seems to find him,” general manager Dylan Seca said in a news release. “We went to work on the recruitment immediately. He’s someone who certainly had his options, but playing in the Ontario Hockey League and the Sarnia Sting became a priority for Chase and his family.”
