Sarnia Police Chief Phil Nelson, front row in white shirt, and Deputy Chief Bob Farlow, to his left, pose with some of the service’s 170 officers and civilians on the steps of the Sarnia Police Station last week. It was the second last day on the job for the two officers, who are both retiring. Standing to Nelson’s right is the new chief, Inspector Norm Hansen, and to Farlow’s left is Inspector Owen Lockhart, the new deputy chief. An aerial photo of the scene taken by a Grafiks Marketing drone may be used in a book being written by Journal columnist Phil Egan called ‘Keeping the Peace: 160 years of policing the Imperial City.’ Glenn Ogilvie
