Sarnia Sting co-owners Derian Hatcher & David Legwand have signed the team’s president and general manager to multi-year contract extensions.
The team announced last week Bill Abercrombie will be back this fall for his 14th season with the team, and fourth as club president overseeing the day-to-day business operation.
“He has been around the industry for a long time and understands the business as well as anyone. Under his guidance, we have seen the club take huge strides,” Legwand said.
Nick Sinclair has also been inked to a multi-year deal, the club announced earlier.
Sinclair is entering his ninth season with the Sting and fourth as the club’s general manager.
He has helmed the Sting to an overall record of 102-81-15-6.
In 2015-16, the club posted a team record 42 wins and 91 points.
Sinclair joined the club in 2009 and was promoted to director of player personnel after just two seasons.
