Sarnia has new parks director

Beth Gignac is Sarnia’s new director of parks and recreation. Gignac, who begins her new role on Nov. 19, boasts over 20 years of management experience in recreation, arts and culture with both the City of Mississauga and City of Calgary.

Gignac, who begins her new role on Nov. 19, boasts over 20 years of management experience in recreation, arts and culture with both the City of Mississauga and City of Calgary.

Most recently she served as corporate lead, organizational culture in Calgary.

She is also a past director of Parks & Recreation Ontario and a current board member of the National Arts Network for Children and Youth.

Gignac graduated from the University of Windsor and holds a Master’s Certificate in Municipal Leadership.
