Reid Boucher signs contract with NHL Canucks

Former Sarnia Sting winger Reid Boucher has inked a new contract with the Vancouver Canucks. The Lansing , Michigan native, who played two seasons with the Sting in 2011-12 and 2012-13, signed a one-year $687,500 contract with the Canadian NHL club.

The Lansing, Michigan native, who played two seasons with the Sting in 2011-12 and 2012-13, signed a one-year $687,500 contract with the Canadian NHL club.

Boucher played 27 games with the Canucks during the 2016-17 season before joining the New Jersey Devils for nine games, and the Nashville Predators for three.

Boucher has amassed 17 goals in his relatively young NHL career, which saw him drafted 99th overall by the Devils in the 2011 entry draft.

He holds the Sarnia Sting franchise record for most regular season goals. He scored 62 goals in 68 games during the 2012-13 campaign.
