Anyone looking escape winter might want to check out Rebound’s Hearts for Youth Gala.

The annual event is the youth-serving agency’s main fundraiser and features live and silent auctions, five-course dinner at the Dante Club, music, dancing and stirring testimonials from youth.

And it comes at a time when people are looking to escape the winter doldrums, says Rebound board member Warren Kennedy.

“It’s an excellent opportunity to celebrate with friends for a great cause. And what better cause than our children?”

The agency has a proven record of helping youth and parents navigate through the challenges of adolescence, Kennedy says, noting Rebound is nationally and provincially recognized for its work.

The 16th annual gala features a “fire and ice” theme, with Brian Davis Jewellery providing the sparkle, courtesy of a $1,000 diamond going to some lucky attendee.

A live auction features various packages, including a vacation to a secluded Caribbean island, trip to Puerto Vallarta, fine dining tour of Sarnia eateries and a local chef to cater a dinner party.

All money raised supports Rebound programs for youth, with offices in Sarnia, Petrolia and Forest.

Tickets, $85, with a $35 tax receipt, are available at any Scotiabank branch or by calling 519-344-2841.
