Two long-standing records were toppled at the LKESAA Sarnia Track and Field meet for elementary schools June 7 at the Central Athletics Track.

Bridgeview’s Gabby Jones set records in the girls open 1500 metre and girls 11 and under 800 metre.

The 11-year-old registered a time of 5:25.13 in the 1500, topping to the previous record of 5:28 set in 2010.

She also chipped over four seconds off the previous 800-metre record set in 2014 with her time of 2:41.86.

Errol Village won the overall team championships, leading the Red division with 331 points. Rosedale was tops in the White division with 354 points, and the Blue division winner was Sir John Moore, which had 385 points.
