The Sarnia Sting may be done for another season but next year’s hockey team will appear in a whole new light.
City Hall has approved a contract to install new energy-efficient lighting in the main rink of The Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
The project was awarded to 3 Phase Electric at a cost of $124,990, with more than $5,000 of that covered by Save on Energy grants.
The new lighting is expected to reduce the city’s electricity bill by more than $16,000 a year.
