Diane Helene Barnes passed away peacefully on Monday April 29, 2024 at Sumac Lodge in Sarnia at the age of 75 years. She was born July13, 1947 to parents Donald (2019) and Helene (Hiller) Barnes (2010). She is survived by her brother, Robert Barnes and his wife Maureen of Courtright and was a special aunt to Tracy (Jason) Williams and Ryan (Kelly) Barnes and great-aunt to Megan and Alyson Williams and Blake and Kaci Barnes. Numerous cousins also survive. Diane worked for CIBC, TD and Mainstreet banks for many years starting at 18 years of age. She enjoyed bowling and especially travelling with girlfriends to tournaments, volunteering and working at Village Bingo. She also shared a special love for her two orange tabi cats, Pooky and Pokey. The family would like to thank the staff at Sumac Lodge for their care and compassion shown to Diane the past seven years. Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held at Moore-Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or to the Parkinson Society.
