Northern runners begin new season on a high note

Runners from Northern Collegiate began a new cross-country season with strong performances at the 21 st annual Thrill on the Hill in Windsor last week. The city high school had eight top-10 finishes and two meet champions.

Runners from Northern Collegiate began a new cross-country season with strong performances at the 21st annual Thrill on the Hill in Windsor last week.

The city high school had eight top-10 finishes and two meet champions.

Andrew Davies was the winner of the senior boys event, over a 6K course, while Aidan James was the fastest midget boy over the 4K route.

Bryar Fournie was second among midget girls, Lindsey Barwitzki was fifth in junior girls, Blake Freer was fifth in junior boys, while Caroline Forbes, Lauren Perkins and Kaylee White placed fourth, fifth and sixth respectively in senior girls.
