Corunna teen charged after Canatara Park grass torn up

A 19-year-old from Corunna has been charged after police responded to calls of a vehicle damaging the grass at Canatara Park.

Police say officers were called to the park (1200 Lake Chipican Drive) around 10:20 p.m. Monday.

“Information received was that there was an SUV that had left the roadway and was driving on the grass area,” police said in a news release. “Officers located the subject vehicle, and observed that the driver of the vehicle intentionally drove their vehicle off of the roadway, causing damage to the grass area that will require repairs.”

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old from Corunna has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000.
