New child-care spaces approved for Sarnia

Lambton County has announced provincial funding to help add 49 new child-care spaces in Sarnia. The $1.

Lambton County has announced provincial funding to help add 49 new child-care spaces in Sarnia.

The $1.49 million in capital funding will see new spaces created at the Oak Ave Early Childhood Learning Centre, which is operated by London Bridge Child Care Service at 1014 Oak Ave.

The provincially licensed child-care spaces are expected to open in late 2020.

London Bridge bought the Oak Avenue building in a $1-million deal with the Lambton County in 2016.

Formerly known as Coronation Park, the building was placed on the market after the county decided in 2014 it no longer wanted to own and operate the day-care centre.
