The Lambton chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society has a new manager.
Bill Yurchuk has almost 18 years experience in financial services with management skills learned at the local, regional and national level.
“Having lost my own father to cancer in February of 2013, I know firsthand how supportive and resourceful the Canadian Cancer Society can be,” he said.
Yurchuk and his family have lived in Sarnia since 1998, and he volunteers with local sports associations.
Last year the local office and its volunteers provided cancer patients with 1,600 trips for treatment, offered peer support programs and raised more than $700,000 for cancer research and programs.
