Multicultural sports games held

Local students were introduced to a variety of different sports during the Sports Day Multicultural Elementary Games.

The May 23 event at the Moore Sports Complex featured cricket, bocce, field hockey, rugby, hip hop dance, soccer, ball hockey, golf, yoga and lacrosse.

Tyler McGregor, a 2014 Paralympic sledge hockey bronze medalist gave the keynote address.

More than 250 area students in Grades 5 and 6 took part in the celebration of sports and culture.
