A mobile market that brings fresh fruits and vegetables to residents in neighbourhoods that might otherwise go without is up and running again.

A mobile market that brings fresh fruits and vegetables to residents in neighbourhoods that might otherwise go without is up and running again.

Operated by the Inn of the Good Shepherd, the mobile market provides the produce at no charge between July and October, and holds community kitchen nights where clients can learn how to prepare and freeze corn, squash and applesauce.

In Sarnia, the market hits the road each week on Friday, stopping at the Roger Street parking lot from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Kathleen Street Park from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Veterans’ Park from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 pm., and the YMCA Learning Centre on Oakdale Avenue from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
