The ‘Mobile Market’ is back on the road, bringing fresh produce directly to people struggling to make ends meet. The market arrives with local vegetables and useful health information, free of charge, at 14 locations in Sarnia-Lambton each week.

The ‘Mobile Market’ is back on the road, bringing fresh produce directly to people struggling to make ends meet.

The market arrives with local vegetables and useful health information, free of charge, at 14 locations in Sarnia-Lambton each week. It’s expected to deliver 5,000 pounds of produce to about 900 people each week.

The Inn of the Good Shepherd runs the operation with help from area farmers, greenhouses and gardeners, Pembina Pipeline and 100 Women Who Care.

In the Sarnia area, the Mobile Market makes one-hour stops at:

MONDAY:

Corunna – All Saints Anglican Church, Hill Street, 9:30 a.m.

Aamjiwnaang – Community Centre Pavilion, 12:30 p.m.

Lambton College – Events Centre, London Road, 2 p.m.

FRIDAY:

Roger Street –Parking Lot, 9:30 a.m.

Kathleen Avenue Park, 11 a.m.

YMCA Learning and Career Centre, Oakdale Avenue, 12:30 p.m.

Veterans Park, at the library, Victoria Street, 2 p.m.
