The Inn of the Good Shepherd’s summer ‘mobile market’ is back on the streets.

The market is a truck that brings fresh produce to residents who may otherwise go without.

Countywide, the service provides about 4,000 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables to more than 200 households each week.

Users are asked to bring a food bank client card, social assistance income statement, Old Age Supplement income statement or proof they are living in assisted housing.

Donated fresh produce is always welcome at 115 John St.

In Sarnia, the mobile market arrives Fridays for one hour at: Roger Street parking lot 9:30 a.m.; Kathleen Street park 11 a.m.; and Veterans Park at 12:30 p.m.
