Alysha Bellyk, 15, is moving on to the Miss Teenage Canada competition at the end of August.
She was selected Miss Teenage Sarnia at the provincial Miss Teenage Ontario last month in Toronto, becoming one of 20 young women selected for the national competition.
Alysha said her platform is to increase awareness about animal cruelty to help put an end to it.
