Memorabilia from the former St. Clair Secondary School will be available for viewing on April 26.

The Great Lakes Secondary history and memorabilia committee, comprised of 20 school and community members, is hosting the event at the cafeteria of former St. Clair School, 340 Murphy Rd., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The committee has been identifying, collecting, photographing and cataloguing historical and memorable artifacts.

The most significant items will be retained for display at the renovated school, but much of the memorabilia will be available for a suggested $5 donation.

Funds raised will be used to support students in financial need.

Access is through the cafeteria door by the front entrance. The building is closed and walk-throughs won’t be available.

The committee will repeat the process of cataloguing historical and memorable artifacts at the former SCITS site, 275 Wellington Street, where Great Lakes students are currently located.

The newly renovated school on Murphy Road is scheduled to open in September of 2018.
