The abrupt closure of Goodwill Industries in Toronto, eastern, central and northern Ontario for financial reasons will have no impact on local operations, officials say.
Goodwill Industries Essex Kent Lambton is an autonomous operation and unlike its counterpart in Toronto is on a strong financial footing and growing, CEO Kevin Smith said.
The agency’s workforce increased almost 9% last year and donations were up 14%, he said.
