Sarnia’s Julia Greenshields scored big when Canada finished second overall at the World Rugby Sevens Series in Dubai recently.
Although New Zealand beat Canada 26-14 in the final, the former Sarnia Saints star scored once in the losing effort.
Greenshields was instrumental in helping Canada finish 5-1 at the tournament, scoring four tries in all.
The second-place finish in Dubai gave Canada back-to-back podium appearances to start off the 2019 Sevens Series, and gave the team significant points towards qualification for the 2020 Olympics.
The next tournament is set for Sydney, Australia on Feb 1-3.
