The Inn of The Good Shepherd is launching a new fundraiser to help purchase food for its food bank and soup kitchen.
At the Community Brown Bag Lunch, guests are invited to visit the Dante Club where they will receive and fill up a brown bag with a sandwich of their choice, as well as fresh vegetables and dip, pickles, fruit, cookies and a cold beverage.
The cost is $10, and guests can either eat-in or grab-and-go.
The event is on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at 1330 London Rd.
Pre-orders are being accepted online at www.theinnsarnia.ca/tickets for more than four lunches.
The Inn’s annual brown paper food drive bag is scheduled for late September with a goal of collecting 40,000 pounds of food. The donation bags will be delivered with The Sarnia Journal during the week of Sept. 25th.
