Northern Collegiate’s girls’ hockey team carried a three-game win streak into the new year.
The lady Vikings dealt LCCVI its only loss this season in December, downing the Petrolia school 3-0.
Northern trailed LCCVI (4-1) by two points for first place, with Great Lakes and St. Patrick’s tied for third in the league with two points each.
In boy’s hockey St. Patrick’s trounced Northern in a 5-1 blowout on the final game of 2018, leaving the Fighting Irish one point behind Great Lakes, which narrowly topped Northern 5-4.
High school hockey resumed this week.
