Local journalist J.D. Booth is the fourth declared contender to challenge for the Sarnia-Lambton Conservative nomination in the next federal election.

"I believe I bring a unique set of skills and experience to the table when it comes to succeeding (MP) Pat Davidson in this key role as our representative in Ottawa," said Booth, who owns the online Lambton Shield news site.

The former communications manager at Dow Chemical has worked as a journalist, freelance writer and communications consultant and ran for a seat on city council in this fall’s municipal election.

Professional engineer Marilyn Gladu, financial controller Terry Nyp and financial advisor Pete Aarssen are also seeking the nomination, expected to be held in early 2015.
