The St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish became the Lambton-Kent senior girls’ basketball champions after downing Northern Collegiate 51-42 in a thrilling double overtime game played Nov. 8. St. Pat’s went undefeated this season, but Northern fought hard to take the lead and the fourth quarter buzzer sounded with the teamed tied at 36 points apiece. Jennah Taylor, right, was the game’s top shooter, sinking 15 for the Irish. Taylor has signed a letter of intent to play with the Ursuline College Arrows (Ohio) this fall.
