Impaired driving charges have flat-lined at a stubbornly high level, MADD Sarnia-Lambton reports.

Sarnia police charged 51 people last year compared to 52 in 2013, and Lambton OPP laid 101 charges, unchanged from the previous year.

The biggest offenders in Sarnia are men aged 26 to 35, although a growing number of women are also getting behind the wheel drunk, the agency said.

“It’s disappointing that impaired statistics aren’t dropping in Sarnia-Lambton,” said local president Natalie Andrews.
