Sarnia high school wrestlers did the city proud at the SWOSSAA wrestling finals in Tecumseh on Feb 16.

Great Lakes Secondary delivered strong performances throughout the weight classes after nearly sweeping the Lambton-Kent finals a week earlier.

Tali Allen, who has earned a full wrestling scholarship at Emmanuel College in Georgia, led the Great Lakes ladies with a first in the 61 kg. class.

Brock Anderson did the same on the boy’s side for the Wolfpack by winning the 89 kg. class.

Not to be outdone, St. Patrick’s posted three first-place finishes, led by 72 kg. provincial champ and Lambton-Ken MVP Nathan Moro.

Nathan Delcastro and Howard Moffat also clinched their respective classes.

A total of 17 city wrestlers will travel to Brampton for the OFFSAA finals March 1 to 3.
