City reviews possible upgrades to lawn bowling facility

City Hall is reviewing a request from the Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club to apply for provincial grants to update its facilities.

The club is hoping to revamp the Germain Park clubhouse as well as add an accessible washroom, additional air conditioning and shade for the player greens.

City staff has been directed to review the potential upgrades and report back to council at a future date.

The work would be done at no cost to taxpayers, the club said, but permission is needed because the city owns the property.
