Tyler Whitbread had two solid outings for Team Canada's U18 squad at a Dominican Summer League series against major league baseball prospects.
The rangy right-handed pitcher, who has committed to a baseball scholarship at Indiana State University, tossed three innings of two-hit ball against Boston Red Sox prospects, followed by a five-inning performance against Detroit prospects last Thursday.
Against the Tigers, he surrendered one run and struck out five.
