Seven members of the Bluewater Boxing Club competed at the annual Ontario Silver Gloves tournament in Toronto recently and brought home six medals, including two gold.

Josh Jablonsky, 16, earned a pair of dominant unanimous decisions, running his undefeated record to 6-0 with three knockouts.

The gold medal match featured Jablonski scoring an impressive win against his most experienced opponent to date.

Nicole Drury, 17, also earned gold with a dominant second round TKO win against a tough but outgunned opponent from Brampton. Drury already has her next match scheduled for Nov. 3 in London.

Maxine DeCiantis, 17, competing for the first time, opened the tournament with a clear unanimous decision victory over a more experienced opponent. She lost a narrow split decision in the gold medal match.

Dylan Taylor, Kaitlyn Clark, Dan Botma, and Nick Lord also competed, picking up three bronze medals.

The entire team is now training for the Ontario Golden Gloves at the end of November.
