Kaitlyn Clark, a veteran of nearly 70 amateur matches, took silver after losing a disputed split decision in the women’s 69kg class event to the current Ontario champion.

Nicholas Lord, a Lambton College student competing for the first time, took gold by posting a pair of narrow split decision victories over boxers from Durham and York in the men’s novice 69kg class.

And Josh Jablonsky, a 16-year-old St. Patrick’s High School student, ran his record to 4-0 with three knockouts to win gold in the junior 70kg class.

Jablonsky, who has natural knockout power, scored consecutive first-round TKO wins against fighters from Guelph and London.

Bluewater Boxing is gearing up for it own show in Sarnia when it hosts a team from Ireland for a duel meet on Sunday, July 22.
